Combining technology is a good thing, not a bad thing. As soon as Phil came aboard, I was hoping for a Track ball with a soaker coverstock, and it looks like I'm going to get my wish.

So, newguy, are you finally spreading Dyno-Thane's Soaker technology to other Columbia brand product lines?

Inquiring minds want to know ....

Sounds to me if thats the case. Might as well rename track to dynothane.

No, no, and NO!

Cores, these days, make a WORld OF DIFFERENCE, as does the base coverstock formula,  into which the magic "Soaker" foo-foo dust is placed.

Track is not and never will be Dyno-Thane. Ain't gonna happen IS my prediction.

Never the twaine shall meet!

Pheonix is kind of an odd name for something with a Soaker type cover isn't it ?

The Phoenix is a bird that rises from the ashes of its previous incarnation.

This is Phil's (Mr. C's) work (the name, that is, and the ball, of ocurse!), as I'd guess he sees himself being re-incarnated into and within the Columbia corporate entity, once again.

Hmmm, I wonder if we'll see the re-incarnation of likes of THE "Heat" once more also?????

How about the animal core used in a soaker cover. I would love to see that, I would more then likely buy 2-4 of them bad boys. Also maybe just a remake of the normal animal.

Dude I have asked for that for a long time.  Track is not going to make that from what I have been told.

I personally feel they should have put the Animal core in a reactive cover.  I think that was stupid of them not to do it.

I don't own any Track bowling balls right now.  If they made a reactive Animal I would buy one for sure!

I'm also surprised they have not remade the Animal.  I know that my pro shop guy said that was one of his best selling balls from Track.

Wasn't the Animal Untamed an Animal core with a reactive cover? Or did they modify the Animal core a bit to get the specs to work out with the reactive cover?

It was close to the Mutant but the bottom section was a little different.
Animal was Morpheus 2 and the Untamed was Morpheus.

Fact was the morph and moph 2 core was a "MO" design. They would have to get it cleared by him I belive to use it again. I am not 100% on that but I think I may be right.

Yes this was my dream ball.  I did send them a bunch of e-mails about it when Del was there.  The ball was not going to get made.

I sent Phil an e-mail about this very same topic a while ago.  He didn't rule it out but said that for now Track was going to focus on new designs and what not.

I told him about the Animal core in a reactive cover.  I said this would be the biggest selling ball of the year.  I still believe that.

When I contacted Track about this ball when Del was running it I got nothing but excuses on how the ball would be too over/under.  They told me that the core was too strong to be used with a reactive cover.  yet they come out with the Delta 1 which had a very strong core.  It was a load of BS.

I eventually went to throwing Hammers.

Sometimes these top level company guys make dumb moves.  Why not listen to the bowlers who buy the balls?

How many of you guys would like to see the ANIMAL core in a reactive cover?  I would buy a few of them.
