I am considering a dry lane spare ball, the Desert Heat. I heard soo many great reviews on this ball, but I'm set on carrying 4 balls max to most leagues. Robo, Power Machine, Equation, and either plastic or Desert. I tried a scout urethane for dry and spares(10 pins), and that was a dud. So my question is: Could my Equation work with Delayed Reaction on it or would it still be that much stronger than the Desert? Also I am wondering If I would struggle picking 10 pins with the Desert, if I eliminate my plastic ball. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

How would a DH compare to a Equation with Delayed reation

Just curious if you see enough oil in league to justify carrying the Robo. Seems like if you carried the Power Machine, Equation, Desert Heat, and plastic for spares, you would be good to go. The Desert Heat is a great ball for light oil conditions, but I prefer plastic for spares.

No, usually I dont use the Robo, but I'd hate to need it and not have it. Every once in a while they will juice the lanes at Imperial. So I guess you're not recommending using the DH for 10 pins. How in your opinion would the DH compare to the Equation with Delayed Reaction?

HEY TRACK!

I do not see anything wrong with using a Desert Heat at throwing spares shots at the 10 pin. I do this as well. I do feel however that even though you would be adding 'Delayed Reaction' to the Equation, it is still going to be stronger than an OOB Desert Heat. As far as struggling picking up spares with the DH, that would all depend on being consistent and trusting yourself throwing at the 10 pin. One suggestion I can give you is if you commit to shooting the 10 pin with the Desert is to flatten your hand out, this will give the ball minimal to no hook depending on how you come out of it. In this case, I feel it is all about trusting yourself with the shot. Hope this helps some buddy! God Bless You and have a great week!

Hey bro,

Id put the Robo away since the Power can still handle a good amount of oil. Move everything up one spot and fit your DH in there with a plastic. If you still wanted to use the Robo, I'd think you could throw the DH fast enough to pick up that 10 pin. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong.
