Great control ball for me.  Pin is 5" from my axis, 3 1/2" above the midline.  MB is at 50 degrees, and I took the surface to 1000 abralon.  Great motion that allows me to control the over-reacting backends on house patterns in my area.  Great continuation through the pin deck.

HEY COYOTE!

I have my drilled with a 3 3/4" Pin Above the Ring Finger. The Pin is at 1 o'clock from my ring finger. The MB is just to the right of the thumb. For me the Machine starts up very early. This is one ball in my bag that reads the mid lane very early for me and is just completely sick on the backend. This layout is gives me a very archy reaction. My PAP is 5 over by 1 up as well. Hope this helps some buddy! God Bless and have a great week!

Hey COYOTE,

I also get a good a good mid lane read with nice continuation thru the pins.  Check out this link for a vid..

I have 2-3 Machines, this one is drilled pretty weak.

You can also see more video comparisons of the ball in my profile, thanks.

Works well with alot of speed and revs otherwise has no backend to speak of. How much are you paying for it. If under a fifty then you can not lose.

As with any strong Assy. ball with a high mass bias, it needs to be correctly laid out to a certain player to match the player.

I like mine, i get a bit worried that it going to overhook so i tend to whip it through the break every now and then. It is a little sensitive to release changes. Not as sharp at the break as my Artillery but really rolls through the deck.

From a high tracking power stroker's perspective, The Green Machine with the 5 X 4mb drilling (3.5 pin-out - pin above fingers / 70 degrees); the Robo Core block gives excellent gliding computer precision like guidance through the midlane.  The Fang LS coverstock gives it a controlled calculated flip (my term - contra/paradoxical) on the backend. This ball works well on a synthetic medium condition that still has head oil (it's a particle pearl). (in OOB condition, have not experimented with any coverstock adjustments yet)

If one is able to manipulate weaker hand positions and more speed, the ball could maybe be used on lighter medium oil; through transition and near to breakdown. All bets are off, if one runs into very little oil on the heads or big backends, too much ball, it moves!

As a medium oil ball it's one of the best.

My take on the newer US Robo Core releases.

Green Machine 5 X 4mb Medium condition; Controlled Flip (not your son's flip; a baby boomer flip)

Mean Machine 3 X 4.5mb Medium to Heavy ; Strong Arc (Fang LS Control) Forgiving; but allow more overall room for this ball than the GM.

Power Machine (not drilled yet; but have thrown a buddies 5 X 5mb)
A different animal, different coverstock (Vector SF); The flip ball we have all been waiting for!  Wow! ICE (it carries everything).
A thing of beauty! (not Generation X flip - Baby boomer flip all the way!)

First, thanks to all for your responses. I paid under fifty for it, so I think I made out okay. It's in the shop now being plugged and drilled.

As with most strong assym stuff, it's sensitive to release changes and speed.  I remember back when this thing came out it was supposed to be the hardest cornering ball in the Track lineup.  Now, most people overlook it.  I guess that's just what happens with a late release date.

Anyway, I use mine almost exclusively for leagues.  Drilled pretty much 4x4 with pin up and right of ring.  Oil at my house is usually on the light side of medium with dry outside of 8 or so.  This ball needs to find some dry boards to do it's thing.  It's not going to work as well on a carry down type condition or with oilier shots.  It took me a few weeks to get used to the ball since it wasn't as forgiving as my other equipment, but it's hard to put in the bag now.

I got the ball out of proshop last night before leaque play. Use it for all three games. What a ball, sorry I haven't try Track equipment before this. Proshop did a excellent job on the drilling also. Can not give you the specs on it, not my area, but I just instructed them to drill it strong, and by the reaction from the ball I say they did exactly that. This ball in reaction reminds me alot of my first fingertip ball which was a Hammer Swithblade, same kind of reaction on the backend. I would recommend this ball to anyone!!

Glad you like the ball COYOTE.  If you like this ball, you should look at our Equation to go under it (for drier conditions) and the Power Machine to go above it (oilier conditions).  These 3 balls should help you get started in a very nice 3 ball arsenal.
