First night out with Equation
« on: August 23, 2006, 01:29:36 AM »
It didnt take me long to see that this ball has serious potential.  I brought an Action Max and the Equation in last night to punch up.  After about 3 hours in the  shop, it was time to bowl.  Luckily, the front desk held the fresh pair of lanes that I had opened up for myself 3 hours before hand.

We decided to drill it 4x2 with a weight hole to bring the ball back to legal.  Throwing over a surprisingly oily THS, this ball had no problem wanting to come back.  Obviously it didnt cover as many boards as my Max did, but I can tell that it will do exactly what I want it to do...cover boards when the shot starts to really break down, or when there's a medium to medium/light oil down on the lanes.  Throwing up the 1 arrow, this ball would still come back strong and hit brooklyn side, forcing me to move in more than I had expected to with the ball, but thats okay.  While it doesnt hit as hard as the Max, it does hit a ton.  Even when I missed the pocket, the pin action on this thing was crazy..I would hit the 4 and 7 pins only to find the 1 and 3 pin left standing after all the pin action was done.  I will bowl more with it today and hopefully find a proper line to bowl as I was using the Max for 2/3 of the time last night...still gotta work out these thumb holes =)

As for my first Track Ball, I'd have to say, if PA is using this stuff on the tour this season, TJ and Barnes better watch out!

Noy,

Good info bud. Sounds like you see in the Equation exactly what I see. VERY good ball......too many bowlers are going to overlook this thing. That means more money I can win

Hey Carl,

No they will NOT, at least not where I live buddy! The bottom line is, I've told Rick and I'll say the same thing to you...I will have this ball in at least two or three of my more experienced youth bowlers this season...

Bradford and Willie are definitely drooling over this ball ever since I had it punched up! Ball is sick man! I'm telling you..this ball is going to open up eyes in the fall buddy!

Hey Noy,

I'm glad you are seeing all the success with the Equation. This ball is just great, you just can't say much more than that dude! God Bless You All and have a great week!

Glad you like the ball Noy.  It is a very good piece in our line, feel free to ask any questions or for help if you want to improve your game.  Carl and I are doing our Tag Team Coaching here and we'll have video tips coming soon.  Aside from that, the Track forum by far is one of the most insightful and helpful here on BR...keep on posting bud.

PS. I watched your turkey adobo....my wife is Pinay so I understand dude..

Haha, yea Turkey Adobo just sounded right =)

Anyways, heres an update:

Went out yesterday with both my Action Max and Equation.  Fresh THS, the Max was burning up and really didn't shine for my first two games.  Averaged about 160.  Then I bring out the Equation.  Played straight up the 10 board for 4 games for 202, 212, 190 something, 180 something.  I could have scored more in the 3rd and 4th games but I didnt have a spare ball with me and I didnt feel like adjusting to the transition.  But thats been the best string of games I've ever put up.  Im a lefty so I never really have to adjust to a shot, but man, that ball was magical.  Looks like Track has found a place in my bag.

And I do agree, Track forum is the most supportive boards on this forum.

Noy,

Sounds like you have confidence with the Equation in your hand.....that is part of the battle right there.
