Just picked up a Robo Rule today. I have one word for it right now "wow". It was punched up right before league so I got to throw it a few times in practice. I found I had to move about six boards left of where I stand with my 5.0, balls are drilled similarly. I was amazed on the back end of this ball, especially for a particle ball. I struggled in the first game with it and switched to my 5.0 and used it for the rest of the night. But after league, I had to throw the Robo some more in practice. Shot 299 with it, ball comes back from no mans land and hits so hard.
It is box condition right now, but for those that have it, how many still have it that way? I have never had to shine a ball, because it hooks too much. I am slightly rev challenged, but not a stroker by any means. Anybody have some opinions on to shine or not to shine?

If it gives you a world of room.....I wouldn't shine it. Try to find a playable shot with it on your oil pattern.

I am one of the slightly rev challenged but working on it (more of a stroker type release, medium to high speed) and I've left my RoboRule in box surface. I've found that I'm able to throw it with more speed and less revs if I'm bouncing it to the dry, or I lower my ball in the stance and go inside out at a slower ball speed (say 15 to 5) and still get a good look and pin mix from that angle. I would say until you get used to the characteristics of the ball, leave it in box surface. Once you see what it can do on a couple of conditions and based on your game, then decide to shine or not...
Good luck- I love my RoboRule, it's been the first ball out of my bag since I got it a few weeks ago on a number of conditions.

I hit mine with a tisker of Delyaed Reaction, and it really gets downt he lane very well. I wanted a little more separation between it and the GP2. However, I would agree with Ex and say do not shine YET with the results you are getting!

Thanks, I will keep it box condition for the time being. I am really looking forward to getting this ball on to some longer oilier patterns, it should really prove its worth then.
Clint, how much further down the lane did a light polish job push the break point for you?

What I was looking for was something that pushed a tisker further than my GP2....problem I had was the GP2 has 30-40-50 games on it and the Robo is fresh, and with the Robo being fresh, was stronger than I wanted it to be. After the polish, it was a touch longer than my Gp2 (I would say 2-3 boards right with my feet was the adjustment I made) and the breakpoint was more noticeable. It gave me a combo just like my Phenom and Unleashed....when the Phenom was too strong, I could pick up the unleashed an it was right where I needed it to be.

Ahhh the Track folks here are very wise, left the ball in box condition, very glad I did. Good call guys.
Bowled team event today in the Michigan State tournament team event. Lanes were tight to start with, at least for me and my damn rev challenged body. 
I had a tough time really getting the ball to break sharply, but I hung tough and as they opened up, really had a nice shot. Shot 700, but left a number of ten pins, not the fault of the ball. Saw a ton of them around me.
Ball really does roll great, and the hit is very good. It sure is a smooth ball. With my lower revs, it is the perfect match for oilier lanes.
