Sensor C
« on: June 02, 2003, 04:10:22 AM »
I have a sensor c (blue pearl) that I am looking to replace. It was/is a great combination of cover and core for me, and would like to replace it with something very similar. Is there anything out there that would match up roughly to this old thing?

You need a combination of mild core and shell. If you can find an Ice Blue Razor, that would probably DUPLICATE your sensor/c reation, as it was a mild reactive pearl with a high RG core. A Brunswick Monster Scream/R might do the trick too. Send a message to Doug Sterner and see if he can still get you the Ice Blue Razor.

IIRC, all of the Sensor/C's had modified three-piece cores, with a pancake at the top, a puck in the center, and a "pedestal" connecting them.  As such, I'd think that the closest approximation to this reaction in something current would be in one of the modified three-piece designs, like the Brunswick Power Groove Reactive, Columbia Flipside Wild, Ebonite Tornado, or Storm Big Hit.  The nice things about these balls are that they work great on drier heads, and they're cheap.
