Stomp(black/Gold) Vs. Aquamarine Quantum
« on: October 15, 2005, 08:30:27 PM »
HI, I have a friend who is having difficulty on choosing his next ball, a more benchmark ball for medium to medium light.HE told me that if  h got the Stomp, he would polish it. He HAs about 290rpms and throws around 14mph. He would also want to know if the Stomp is a reactive or particle. He always thought it was a reactive but he is not so sure now, after reading this(this was found on the promotional material):

Introducing the Stomp Black Goldô. This rolling monster hooks its way through medium/heavy oil with the killer combination of our R.E.M. (Reactive Energy Magnified) coverstock technology with Gold MICA particles surrounding our remarkable Dual Flip Block Core! This ingenious, revolutionary advance in technology increases flare potential and produces more mid-lane roll than its predecessor, Stomp Pearlô. This extraordinary ball is designed with one thing in mind...high impact on the lanes with low impact on your wallet. Stomp Black Gold. Guaranteed to make an impression on the competition and on the pins.

Just wondering myself, is the Stomp black/gold's core similar to that of the Nu-Line Xpedition?

Thanks

These 2 balls are rather different, the Aqua Quantum was one of the few harder shelled reactives produced while the Black Stomp could handle a fair bit of oil. To use the stomp on medium light it would need to be gloss polished and drilled pretty weak to cut down the track flare while the Aqua Quantum you could drill as strong as you want. As long as the backends are dry the Quantum will work, it does go quite straight though. The Black stomp is reactive as well, it's core is borrowed from the columbia RAGE series with the main difference being the removal of the ceramic nugget in the centre of the core(it's still pretty strong without it)

Hey xwenhan,

The Stomp being particle (Mica) was able to handle more oil compared to the Aqua just like Adrian states.  The Aqua I would say would be the better ball for med to med dry conditions.

Not sure but they look identical.  Also not sure if they have the same density composite though which can change reaction characteristics.
