Rising SE Review
« on: November 10, 2008, 01:58:45 PM »
I had the pleasure of punching up the new Rising SE. What a great compliment to the high performance line!

Layout: Pin on center line, 2 inches up from grip center, mass bias on VAL, no extra hole. This is same layout I have on a Rising and UpRising to get a good indication of the difference between the two.

Bowled a third shift league tonight on old wood. They do put a lot of volume down but they get very dry and carry down sometimes presents issues.

The SE cleared the heads surprisingly well and read the midlane without issue. Response to the dry was moderate. Carry was absolutely amazing. Through two games, only pocket shot that did not strike was a smash 8. The last game, I got forced into 6th arrow and probably should have put the ball up at that point but new ball syndrome forced me to stick it out.

I cannot wait to try this piece on a fresher shot. This is a great compliment to the UpRising and Rising. I see this ball fitting in where the UpRising might be a touch too smooth and you need more pop on the backend. When my lay down got left of 20 with the UpRising and Rising, it was time to try something else but the SE had no issues turning the corner from left of 25.

I will update some more after I am able to use it on a fresher condition. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask or PM me. It is late so I hope this is coherent.
