Questions regarding a new ball addition
« on: October 13, 2004, 12:12:13 PM »
Hey fellas as you all know by now probably, I have the animal and have purchased the inferno as well. Ive been considering purchasing a particle pearl and have been looking into the big blue pearl. I was wondering how different this ball would be in relation to the animal and inferno. I know its a particle pearl but still how different is it.  At the present time I have both drilled about stack leverage and they both, with the way I have been throwing them give me a little length with a pretty good backend. Well I have been working on staying behind the ball without turning my hand so much because both balls were moving way too much in my hand. I want to get possibly a slightly different reaction out of the BBP but im not sure how I should get it drilled or whether if it is exactly like the other two. What are your thoughts?

lilph,

I have not thrown a BBP, but I have a few friends that have had it. It will not very much in reaction from your Inferno. Though reactive, the Inferno rolls and reacts very much like pearl particle. In comparison to the Animal the BBP is going to go longer and not handle the heavy stuff nearly as well.

You may have your mind made up about the BBP, but my suggestion to you would be to drill a pearl reactive to go longer than the fairly early rolling layouts you have on the Animal and the Inferno. A reactive ball drilled to go longer and have more backend will help to complete an arsenal better than a pearl particle will.

If you have any other questions, just let us know.

GOODLUCK

But wouldnt it be possible to drill up the BBP to be like a pearl reactive?

lil,

You can drill it up for more length, but in order to get it to react like a reactive you may need to polish the surface more than factory.
