Its a strongish mid-lane piece and good strong shape downlane.
Had it out yesterday and it lasted  1/2 game, just not enough volume and no heads
Today, took it to 4000 wet sanded and it was great to start, keep moving in and hit the mother of all shim. Just wouldn't read inside of 13, went to over/under madness after that.

Great piece that will be in my bag

Good question.  To clarify, had I reversed the surfaces and the days, I would have been golden.  Had to much surface on the lighter pattern Saturday and not enough surface on the heavier pattern Sunday.
Previous to this experience I had been using it on a 43’ 30ul pattern and it was very good
Added some surface by hand And was able to get deeper and have it recover nicely
That’s a good part of why it’s in my bag. 
Maybe more of a niche piece, but it seems like a lot of pieces are niche these days for me

Replaces 2 - Alias, those were limited success pieces for me.
Also Impulse solid didn’t get much use or much success either
We had trouble getting much of anything to read during minors last year in Syracuse
Balls came back loaded with oil. 2000 dull Alias and 1000 dull GB3 just skated with only 2 of us on that side. 
Hoping this piece will be the difference maker if we see that again

I have both pieces, the Triton Elite reads the mids sooner and is definitely more downlane

I owned the original model and it was clearly the best ball in my arsenal. Then it developed a crack in the track, took it to the wrong Pro shop person to fix and ended up with a spare ball.

 Ordered a new one today, can't wait to see how the new model rolls and hits.
