Regarding the website
« on: August 01, 2007, 11:50:43 AM »
It is up and running on my PC via IE 7

As a legion member, is anyone having trouble logging into the forum section? I cannot log and it says my username and passwrord do not mach. I tried to retrieve a password and it said my e-mail address does not match the username.

Carl, Rick?

One suggestion

Pet Peeve: I hate when they show the specifications of a ball and just throw a number at you with no indication of what it means.

I would like to see specifics when listing ball specs, either by showing figures on a certain scale, or perhaps a graph or chart that indicates each ball's potential. For instance: a certain scale with length or backend on 1-10, 1-30 scale or whatever. Pick a scale on how to gauge the ball and stick with it.

It was consistant to a degree for a short time and the next thing you know they just throw out a number and then it becomes nothing but confusing for the consumer. Just throwing out a number means nothing. Length 18, backend 43 means nothing.

Length 10 - next to the number just put on a scale of....

Backend 43 - on a scale of ...

It just makes sense

Yeah.  If you were a member there before, you have to re-register.  That's what I did, and I've posted a few times already with no issues.

And, great point on the rating scale.  I asked myself the "on the rating of what"?  as well.

Yes,  I just figured it out by looking at the member list. I re-registered and was able to log in.

Thanks

The scale issue can easily be addressed to make it simple. Carl mentioned something about in another post, but his explanation did nothing to convince me of how simple our scale is.

They can easily add
Length: on a scale of  1-10    6
Backend: on a scale of 1-20   18

That to me makes it quite easy to understand.....

The only issue in placing a scale like that right now is that we have 3 balls. For instance, if we place the top hook rating at 25 and the Rising is a 23........where do we go from there? We would have to create another scale very soon. This is a problem that several manufacturers have had to face. When they replaced their old scale with a new one it just confused the consumer.

I am sure we will have a scale in place when we get more equipment on the market.
