The Track Blog!

Hey FASTTRACKERS and REVOLUTIONISTS!

I came up with this idea to start this blog tonight!

What is it about? If you throw Track then its really simple...tell us your stories, whether it be leagues, tournaments or regionals...post it here..if you got a new Track ball, talk about it here...like your layout? Hate the layout? Let us know about it on here...In a few weeks I'll be in the roll off in my All-Star league and I have to credit Track with my success! So anyways, just something fun here to start...sort of like a journal per say...if you got something to tell and it has to do with Track...POST IT HERE! God Bless You all and have a great week!

maybe this belongs here instead.....
Last wednesday night i used this AA http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/whobettathaneric/detail?.dir=31ca&.dnm=a65bre2.jpg&.src=ph in a house i've had trouble at all year, the last game had the front 9 and threw a horrible shot ended up with 738 for the night, while our team did very well shooting 1090, 1170, and 1220 putting us in position to need to win 19 out of 27 pts the next week to win the league. Thursday was nothing special, shot 640 on the end pair which always has one lane about 10 boards different than the other using the crunch time on one lane and the weaker solution pp on the other. Saturday was a mixed trio tournament, I bowled with a buddy of mine who used a thrash the entire 7 game set, and ms. customer service dawn, who used a 5.0 all 7 games. I used this heat http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/whobettathaneric/detail?.dir=31ca&.dnm=e86c.jpg&.src=ph and this solution ex http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/whobettathaneric/detail?.dir=31ca&.dnm=a7b0.jpg&.src=ph to ave. 246 (w/a 180 the 3rd game!) had the front 10 in that tourney which was good for some $ in side pots, as were some team games we bowled. We led qualifing, and won the final game in the step ladder. (Great bowling guys) Fast forward to the next time i pick up a ball, wed for league, as i said, needing 19 out of 27 to win the league. I shoot 300 w/the same solution ex the last game after a ball change for 708 and we win 21 for the night. Last night during league, we bowled on a fresh shot for the first time all year, we bowl a late league on thursdays here at the center where my shop is, and its 2nd shift, the early league finished last week, so we had our shot on the fresh. Using this solution pp shot 300 the 2nd game after a ball change and ended up with 774.
Wanted to thank the teams i was on for their great bowling year, and all day respectively, to Dawn for taking care of me when i call to buy and pick up equipment, to Del for giving me the chance to represent track as a member of his staff, and to the entire track family for producing such great products!

For anyone that doesn't feel like reading all of that...300 on wed, 300 on thrus, 2 different houses.

Eric,

Great story buddy! That is what this 'blog' is all about!

Now onto my story for the day. Bradford and I bowled in our mixed league last night and boy were the lanes tricky. Of course we had some problems with Lane 1 most of the set which could have threw me off some; however I still managed a 651 series but still dropped my average to 227 (it just keeps lowering and lowering back to normal I guess! HA!) First game started off using the 5.0 and was hitting the pocket but couldn't carry. Two devastating splits in the 3rd and 6th frames and I was trying my best to strike out for 206, got the first one in the 10th but failed the next one with the Stone 9 keeping me from it, convert for a 195 (first game below deuce I've shot in this summer league). Second game decided to make the switch to the Robo Rule because I couldn't get the 5.0 to finish good and it turned out to be a good decision. I missed a 9 pin cuz of tugging it but bounced back with a 244 for good measure. The team we were facing used more reactives and particles so the shot went away quicker than last week when we had 'beginner' bowlers using Maxims and White Dots so the transistion was quick too. I stayed with the Robo the rest of a night and put together a 211 for the 3rd game. Bradford held the team up the first game but the next two he was pretty much swimming after that. I made some suggestions to him, even suggesting the Magic cuz the shot had dried up so much; however, it turned into a numbers game, though he did get good practice in on spare shots! I'm still pleased with a 651 and will attempt to turn it up a few notches this Wednesday night during Scratch league. Well, that's all from Huntsville, Alabama! God Bless You and have a great week!

HEY FASTTRACKERS!

This is Michael back with another update from Huntsville! The Flaming T Spare Ball is here and it is in the arsenal! I'm going to try to convert back to plastic for my 10 pin spare shots. Gave it some practice yesterday after coaching my youth bowlers. The ball received aweing like feedback! I had a bunch of them really wanting this ball! I left the 10 pin a few times which is what I wanted just to see if I was going to be able to make this ball work for me. In the past, plastics have been my enemy due to inaccurate attempts throwing at the 10. However, yesterday was a good practice session. I bowl league tonight and it is coming with me.

Scratch league was what I would like to call bittersweet. Got into 2 brackets and shot 245 my first game. The X-Ception 5.0 has been my alma mater since I had it punched up these last few weeks and it hasn't let me down. I started off playing direct on the fresh but the second game was very troublesome to put it bluntly. 3 splits and a consistently pulling the ball and I finished shooting 177. So I'm pretty much done with brackets (I was also knocked out of one the first game even with 245, the guy I was facing shot 266! ). I calmed myself down and made a decision to move in deeper standing on 26 and playing 16 out to about 9 with firm speed. I couldn't miss the pocket and started off with a ringing 10 and spared. I put a 4 bagger up then left a split and opened. Then I went off the sheet for 256 using the X-Ception 5.0. Sometimes the lanes dictated to me that I should be using the Robo; however, this night was different and I just made a simple adjustment. Ended up with a 678 series and raised my average in the league to 219! Once again it is Sunday and I'm bowling my fun league and I'm going to try something different. I'm bringing my Arsenal Reactive with me in place of the Machine just to see what kind of look I get with it. I will post an update soon! God Bless You All and have a great week!

HEY FASTTRACKERS!

I bowled last night and all I can say is EN FUEGO! I really don't know what else to say because this has been quite simply put the best bowling I have really done in a very long time! I tested out the Arsenal Reactive and X-Ception 5.0 during practice and decided the 5.0 was the best choice.

Started the night off with a strike, then a split, stone 9, then 5 in a row, 4 pin spare, struck out in the 10th for a 235. Second game I left 2 4 pins in frames 4 and 9 while I struck in the rest for 258. Third game I start off with the first 8, then left a 10 pin and spared then left another 10 pin in the tenth frame and opened for 257. I finished the set with a 750 using the X-Ception 5.0 all night. This ball has been a complete Pin Smashing Lane Burning piece of equipment!

Last 7 Series I've Shot: 718, 693, 681, 702, 651, 678, 750

I'm just in awe of what numbers I've put together. I'm averaging 233 on Sunday nights and I'm averaging 219 on Wednesday nights. I'm just going to continue to ride this for as long as it shall take me! All thanks be to God for this as I could NOT have done it without Him in my life! Well, thats another update from Huntsville! God Bless You All and have a great week!

Went and re drilled the Phenom Today for a diffeent look seeing i've got the A.A for a power particle now. Did a good old fashioned label drill(just like my nib WOW pearl) and after spending 10mins looking for a pair that had head oil i went to work. Even got the result i was looking for too!! The ball is a little earlier now but smoother off the break than when it was drilled pin under bridge/flip MB. Not as sharp as the shiny WOW,at least i know theres no overlap there!! Arsenal Reactive should be here in about a week and a 1/2, ooooooboy!!!!

As I said before I haven't been pleased with my performance on the Sport shot that they have been putting down so I decided to practice a bit tonight.
I took everything that I thought I could get to work and also used my Robo and Machine for comparison purposes.
My Robo has been a bit to early and a bit too smooth for my liking and my Machine has been a bit to long except for in the 3rd game. I figured that either my Phenom Unleashed or Delta 1 might be just right on the fresh. The Delta surprised me in that the look was almost identical to the Robo mainly due to the OOB surface vs the Robo's OOB so I decided that wasn't going to be a logical change and I will probably alter the surface of it and get it to where it is similar to my Machine only slightly longer. The Unleashed on the other hand was great. I haven't used it in quite some time and forgot just how much of a beast it is at the break point when used on a condition that it matches up well with. I have it @ 1000+ a light polish just enough to remove the dull but not alter the underlying suface much. With the drilling that I have on it (see profile) it gets a lot of length and then makes a very angular move to the pocket. I do have to keep my speed up a touch or it gets too angular. After revisiting it I wish I would have bought 1 or 2 more to stash away when they were still available but I didn't so I am thinking of getting another Robo and drilling it the same as it is or maybe another Machine and drilling it the same and then dulling it down a bit.
I would give anything to have a remake of it.
I think the thing that I was most impressed with about it was how quickly it reacted even though it has a ton of games on it, I have kept a very intensive maintenance regimen with it though as I do all my equipment.

On a side note:
Nothing against MoRich cause I think they make great equipment but every time I see an add for the Seek & Destroy saying something about they said a partical ball couldn't be angular so we made one I have to chuckle a bit cause the PU is very angular and it is partical.

I have been in a slump for a while now.  I actually dropped my average 11 pins in my summer in one of my summer leagues.  Great deal of this have been becuase I am in pain while I am bowling.  I pulled a muscle in my forearm and I am currently on a leave of absence from the game.  It will only be a short one though (1-2 weeks tops).  I have also been having some issue with my ring finger and my thumb.  Ring finger has been killing me. It is sore all the time and my thumb goes all tingley and numb everytime I bowl with it.  Couple about a month ago I bought and old Trition TKO and a Sensor Xcel off of ebay. I plan on experimenting with both of these balls.  Plan on drilling both with the Sarge Easter Grip (worked for BrunsNick when he was having issues with his ring finger).  I am also going to be drilling the TKO with the RICO1 drilling.  Hopefully this will take the pressure off my finger.  If so I will be redrilling all my equipment with a new grip.  Anyways hope everyone summer is going well.

The question isn't why do I throw all Track, it's why don't you.

Arsenal includes:
