Well, we hit the 41' sport pattern tonight. From reading the graph, it looks similar to the 45' pattern (28 units from 1-10, 45 inside of that) yet I'm guessing because of the lack of buffing (30' feet buffed to 41') that would explain why it played tighter than last week's 45' pattern. I couldn't get the ball outside of 12 board because it wouldn't make it back to the head pin, or if it did I saw a lot of designer splits... yet if it got inside of 15 at the breakpoint, it would go through the nose or run brooklyn depending on your ball speed.

I was able to use my Animal and played 17 to 13 all night long with slower ball speed. I shot 599, my high set in the league this summer (214-213-172). 3 straight splits killed me in the final game, but that was due to excessive ball speed from my part when I had been slow and steady for 2 1/2 games.

I'm now bringing 5 balls to my sport shot league- as I've been able to roll well on the 34' with the Rule, the 41' and 50' with the Animal, and the 45' I can use either my Havoc or Slash. Pack in my Target Zone for spares and I'm good to go.

Thanks again Track for keeping me in the game.

Matt

Matt,

Track makes great equipment, but you still have to put it in the proper place and execute. GOOD SHOOTING!

Matt, yet again I envy you for having such a great league to bowl in. I love hearing about the patterns and how you play them. I really wish there was a challenging league down here. Not that I have conqured a house shot, but I like a challenge. Glad to hear you are having success with all of the new Track equipment. I just purchased 4 more balls as well!! I now have:

GP2, Xception 5.0(on the way), Blue Heat(on the way), Arsenal Angular, Mutant Mania, Freakazoid, Slash, Xception, Heat(on the way), Desert Heat(on the way).

And I am sure there will be more to follow.

Good shooting and good luck in the future.

Glad you like the equipment, but there still has to be an operator!

Good job!

Hey Matt, still sounding good bud.  However, I agree with Clint, it still boils down to the operator.  Keep up the good shooting ....

Thanks for the compliments guys. Rick was one of the first guys on here willing to take the time out of his day to answer a lot of questions from me so that I would understand better what types of layouts I would need for my arsenal, and it has paid dividends. I feel that Track equipment is well suited to tougher conditions because a lot of times you can change hand release positions and the equipment will adapt to the changes without sacrificing power at the pins.

I always inform my bowling friends about the great equipment Track has to offer....you don't know how many times I've heard from my teammates statements like 'I love my Phenom Unleashed when I have enough oil to use it' or 'I used to have a Track piece in my bag years ago', yet they seem unwilling to try something from the newer lines. Oh well, I guess I'll have to continue to let my scores do the talking.
