Title: Track Logix
Post by: SIC847 on September 18, 2017, 08:49:00 AM
The new Track Logix is definitely a shiny legion solid.  It has every bit the versatility of the solid.  So far I have only thrown mine with the out of box surface.  It is very clean in the heads and really goes left off the break point.  My drilling is nothing fancy, just pin above the fingers at 3 1/2" and the mass bias kicked out 3 " from the thumb.   Balance hole is below my axis.   I have seen this ball thrown with some surface and it absolutely turns into the legion solid.  I know I was disappointed when the solid was discontinued but this is an excellent replacement, maybe even better.

Saw a bunch of hype on the Legion Solid, decided to try this one.  Needed a medium piece to fill my bag.  Went front 10 - 289 off the drill press with it before leaving a weak ten (made an unnecessary adjustment)  Finished with 803, my first 800 since 2012.  I think it is exactly what I am looking for.  Went with 55 x 4 x 25 drill, box surface.  Played fairly straighter angles with it, but definitely had some room with it.  I wouldn't call it overly angular, was more smooth/arc for me.  Very happy with my choice.

For me it is the perfect step down from the Legion Solid. I have them both drilled the same. The Logix so far gives me the same look on the lanes that I had from the 811A SE. That was the last time we had the LT-2 core in a pearl cover.

This ball is a superb benchmark ball. I can go from it to the Kinetic with no issues. My favorite ball out right now!

Scoot/Gid,

Where does the LT-2 fit on the Track core strength matrix?  Is there a chart that lists coverstock/core strengths for Track (or all EBI)?

Have seen one recently for Storm/Roto - hopeful there is something similar for EBI.

I don't know of a published chart, but Mitch Beasley is the guy who knows.
Shoot him an email csr@trackbowling.com

I have not seen such a chart. But, I will see if the higher ups may have something I can pass down.

Considering this ball as a potential replacement for my Mission. Anyone have any idea how they compare on the lanes? Core is relatively close and the cover seems to he in the same ballpark (upgraded for todays oils though). Was thinking Matrix, but not enough asymmetry for what I want.

Send an email to Mitch Beasley, he will be able to give you some details. He is super knowledgeable about all of the EBI products, csr@trackbowling.com

Does this ball carry from any sort of inside lane? Not trying to hijack this thread, but I have had the 811 c/t which never worked well for me in my home house and have the legion hybrid now. Legion doesn't carry for me thrown away from the pocket. Wondering if I just don't match up to the core or if it is just the nature of this core to need to be thrown straight.

My Legion Solid had no issues carrying from deep inside. I would expect and from what I have seen, being no issue for this ball deep inside...
