That was one of my first thoughts also.  Maybe 2 boards max.

I am guessing you won't see a large difference unless you are bowling on a pretty flat pattern or on something pretty dry upfront.

When you shined it did you change the surface?  If you didn't have either ball, would you buy the solid or the pearl?

Took my original to 4000 then shined it.  Looks like a pearl, acts like a pearl, and I cant imagine anything better.  Carry on one house shot where I normally struggle has been phenomenal.  I also had a pretty good look with it on a fresh 50 foot Don Carter pattern, but I played the transitions wrong
