Title: track ruby kinetic vs vemon shock
Post by: TeeP Nade on July 27, 2017, 08:43:31 AM
currently have a motiv venom shock. looking at getting the ruby kinetic. what can i expect in comparison to the shock? core numbers r only separated by 0.01rg and 0.004 in diff, so id assume they'd be similar? i know the ruby is aysym, so it'll push down the lane a little further b4 making its flip, but it's only a 0.005 aysym which from my understanding, isnt much?any feedback would be appreciated. and for the sake of conversation, lets assume id be putting the same 40 x 5 x 45 layout on both

That is a tough comparison for me I have never rolled with the Venom Shock however, I was at a tournament (45ft Pattern) with a motiv staffer on the same pair and he was using his shock I was using the Kinetic Ruby.  He was playing about three to five boards deeper then I was, getting the ball to roughly the same spot down the lane.  That is the best I can give you on the comparison.  I am thinking if you drill them the same you may have a good one two punch in your bag depending on the amount of games, surface, ball roll, etc.

Although core numbers are a good start, covers mean more and the difference between cover prep and cover strength from 2 different manufacturers may have more of an effect in making a difference between the 2 balls.....especially if you are using them on house shots.

Have only thrown the Shock, but I would have the Ruby a little stronger overall.

Ruby for me is an awesome up the boards piece on a medium volume house shot for me, once it breaks down, I can feed it a little out and it still comes back while retraining some energy. great predictable piece IMO

I just got the Ruby drilled, threw about six shots and I like what I see. Threw it on a beat up Bear and  I could get in and I could go out very Predictable. Nice job Track.
