Title: Tundra
Post by: coyotebowler on January 28, 2017, 01:32:31 AM
Great ball on toast or if you just want to go a little straighter through the fronts.

This ball with the factory finish was just a little to sharp off the spot. I worked the surface down to 500 and back up to 5000 and then a little Powerhouse Factory Finish and then it was spot on.

This ball allows me to play the track area without sacrificing my normal revs. The ball keeps the pins low and reads the dry very predictably (after surface tweak).

If you need a late tournament ball or just want to straighten out your game, this is a must.

Enjoy-

OEM it's 500/1000 polished, you went 500/5000? 5K Does not compute

Love my Tundra.

Last night on my pair, the left had a lot of traffic.  I kept chasing in until I was in an area that wasn’t yielding consistent results.  So I switched to the Tundra and moved back out and struck at will to finish the night.  This is the ball most bowlers want when they ask for opinions on urethane when they want to keep their angles straighter after transition.  This ball does not peel off the dry.  It is an excellent control piece for burnt house shots where entry angle is at a premium.

Did you use a pad for 5000 or is that polish? The only 5k pad I am aware of is a diamond encrusted. It's a little pricey but awesome. So tacky and shiny without polish.

Not sure if coyotebowler did this.  I used all wet 1000/2000/3000/4000 abralon pads.  Ball spinner or Haus can get the ball to 5000 or even 6000+ finish.  The pro shop operator use to play around with the Jayhawk Ball Surface Scanner this was pretty cool to find out.

Trizact makes a 5k 6" sanding disc that is great for bowling balls as well and lasts forever.  That is what I use.
