We Want the Phoenix!
« on: February 24, 2007, 03:09:24 PM »
HEY FASTTRACKERS!

This is my starting petition to Ebonite, if you want to see the PHOENIX put into production, then let Ebonite know how you feel by replying...with enough usernames they should hear what we have to say! I tried this once and was told how ridiculous it was for posting it at the time. I will NOT take it off no matter how many people give me grief over it...for those who haven't had a chance to throw it, I feel we deserve a shot at it! God Bless You All and have a great week!

This is the type of stuff that happens when the cost accountants gets involved... not making the ball because the multi-density core is too time consuming. Make the damn ball!

Subject: TRACK PHOENIX BALL RELEASE

Dear Ebonite International, Inc. Consumer Product Distributor:

One of the many issues caught in the Columbia transition was the Track Phoenix ball introduction. When asked, we told many of you that we would be testing that ball before making a "go/no-go" decision regarding it's release. Testing has now been completed. We will not be releasing this ball.

Please cancel any orders that you may have placed for the Track Phoenix.

There have also been some questions regarding the new Columbia "Ten" ball that was pending introduction. This ball will not be released.

Please pass this information on to your pro shop customers as you deem appropriate.

Sorry for the abruptness of these announcements, but we felt it very important that we keep you as informed as possible.

CHEERS!

Michael this is a good idea. Ebonite needs to step up and comply with this request. Your conduct on this website is exemplary and deserves respect. My hat is off.

And you think you have it bad, what about the staffers we had, what are they going to do???? If this is true all their existing equipment may not be leagal to use in the upcoming PBA season at the regional level, if that is the case they'll all be scrambling to get new equipment drilled in the next couple weeks before the season opens for them, and all without contracts to help off set the financial drain on their personal finances.

--------------------

Once a ball is approved by the PBA it is approved! Just because Ebonite decides they don't want to do multi density cores for the future doesn't effect the balls that have them already. They are still legal.

If Ebonite decides to do this then whats the point of keeping Track? Track is known for these type of cores and if your not going to stay loyal to the brand name then thats stupid.

I want the PHOENIX! Release it.

Adam,

While it's true for the ABC/USBC, it is not true, as far as I know, for the PBA. The manufacturer has to pay a yearly fee to the PBA to have their porducts approved. If the company no longer exists, how can it pay the fee?

That happened to the Hammer balls made by Faball, during the interim when Ebonite purchased the Hammer names. For many months Faball Hammer balls like the Truck and the Wheel could not be used. Ebonite had to pay the fee for bowlers to use them in PBA events.
