What do you want from the next release.
« on: August 06, 2008, 05:51:02 PM »
Seeing how we were given a pearl ball in the KP. The new wave of equipment will start to be tested and looked at in being made. Now what would you guys like to see come from the new track. Pick a ball for each line.

I myself know the brand signiture is skid flip, however with columbia getting away from thiers somewhat with the swing and arch rival. I would like to see something really made for heavy oil. I know the Rising can cover it, but I want something that is made for just oil. I would like to see something Particle come out. I would like to see this in the Rising line.

In the Kinetic line I would like to see maybe something with a little stronger core. With the MB strength in the .010+ area. Other then that the line is complet.

The Temper line I would like to see something that would go real long and then give the temper reaction off the back. Smooth and controled.

I think that the Rising was a stronger ball than it is getting credit for. The core/cover combo might not have matched up very well for many styles but it has the most porous cover in the lineup.
I bet if that same cover was placed on a lower rg ball with a weaker core like a shuttle core, it would be a very good ball for oil.
As far as needing a weaker ball, I haven't felt like I have ever ran out of lane. I can see why some that don't have the release that allows them to get deeper can need this. Not sure this is something we will see any time soon.
A spare ball would be cool, I am sure the idea gets tossed around but I don't know if/when/what would happen. Every brand has their spare balls, even if they are a gimmick ball like a plastic widow. I wouldn't count it out at some point in the future since the product line is in great shape now.

It might have been way to clean up front because it was a 2.50 RG ball. You cannot confuse cover strength with how the weight is distributed within the ball. And, if you read what I said, it did not match up very well for a lot of people. Seemed to be a love/hate relationship. A more forgiving cover and slightly tweaked core numbers on the UpRising make it an unbelievable ball. When I saw a core is strong, I am referring to the mass bias strength. The Rising had a strong core (.032 int diff) but was 2.50 rg which is medium to low medium. You probably needed a slightly lower RG to help you get the ball going.

I would like to see something that starts up sooner than The Rising and something on the weaker side. More length than the Kinetic Pearl and Tantrum with less backend.

I'm just tired of most if not all of the newer releases from all companies in general being strong. I really would like the direction if track were to come out with a new lower line or just come out with a much weaker version of one of the current line balls.

I know the demand isn' there but a Urethane (preferably  pearl) Rising would be a nice release for those of us that see conditions fit for its use.

I really wouldn't mind seeing a nice weak pearl with the temper core for light conditions.

NJ,

How dull have you take the Rising. I love mine on heavy stuff. Granted I am high rev, but the Rising just at 1000 gives me more on oil then a Robo Rule at 800. Alot of guys dont see the Rising good for oil because of the layouts they used. I have seen Risings with a 4x4 layout. That have OOB finish and roll out on heavy oil shots, by guys who have 3 times as less hand then me.

its at 1500 grit paper, idk what it is on me because the guy didn't take my PAP and the MB is under the thumb so that can cause some trouble i think.

Now that I've finally got the laptop back up and working, I can back into the swing of things...

First off, I'd love to see a spare ball.  Not too picky on specifics, but if we were to put out something along the lines of the XXXL...it would sell.

That's the big one for me too, Scoot.  I think .010 is a reasonable MB rating.

The other release that I'd like to see would be a pearl version of the Rising.  Add a pearl to the HP line and you can cover a WIDE RANGE of conditions.  I was able to cover quite a bit with the Rising alone.  Now that the UR has been added, the addition of a pearl here would make this line unstopable.

I believe that particle is leaving the market- In my personal opinion, whatever Track does should go over fine.  Why don't we look for a ball taht will cover lighter volumes of oil?
