Elite Pearl Core
« on: March 08, 2007, 01:07:35 AM »
Whats up fellas.  Just wondering if any of you Track guys out there could come up with a pic or diagram of the Triton Elite Pearl CORE.  I'm pretty sure it was NOT the same as the Elite Solid that was re-used in a lower flare version in the Solution series, but I appreciate any help here.  Thanks in advance.

Thank you S^2.  That actually looks like the same core as the solid Elite, so I'm to assume they had the same block?  I thought someone had informed me they did not both use the same core.  That being said, would it be safe to say the Solution EX would be the most similar replacement for someone looking for an Elite Pearl, or do any Track guys have a different opinion.  Thanks again.

Offhand, I'd say that was about 90-95% correct. The Solution's core is the same shape and roughly the same RG as the Elite's, with a slightly lower RG differential for slightly less flare. The Solution PPEx's cover is a highly polished solid/pearl blend that is again slightly stronger and earlier than the Elite pearl to cover today's more viscous oils. It will handle medium-light to almost medium oil, depending on the drill and your hand (ball speed + rev rate come into play, of course). It is a great ball in my opinion, with strong hitting power. You can tell I think a lot of the ball, as it was the one of my first replacement balls, when I went from 15 lbs to 16 lb balls about a year ago. I also kept the 15 lb one for when I have to return to 15 lb balls when I get older.
