Guess what Gem I have on the way....
« on: August 28, 2006, 11:29:25 PM »
I was able to pick up 2 NIB 1st quality oldies over the weekend...and they are in route to me as I am typing this....

Picked up a Phenom for $40 great specs

AND.....

AN ORIGINAL FREAK for $55!!! Great specs as well....

For under $100, can't beat that price with a stick for these 2 balls!!!!!!

I just drilled a Phenom about a month ago (actually bought from the same person) and I have not used it yet, so this one is going to sit by my last NIB GP2 I have until I decide to drill her....

As for the Freak....I just don't know what to do....I am THINKING I am going to drill it, but with 14 balls already....I don't know. Only thing that is making me lean that way is the Unleashed is almost too much ball for some reson at my house this year....the reaction was unreal out of it on Sunday....anything stronger in my arsenal would have been WAY too much ball.....

What do you guys think?????????? Should I drill it up or not....if I do, I obviously will drill it identical to everything else I have, pin under fingers on centerline (around 5 from PAP....haven't measured it for a while) cg kicked out, mass bias on/near VAL, extra hole.

I pulled my freak out last week for league. It did great. The oil pattern seemed a tad longer, but was really strong on the backend. My crash was going too long, and my fired up was over/under. I still think it's a great ball. I have mine with a little polish so it doesn't burn up so quick.

Move over Rev_O, as I too know someone who would be more than happy to take the Freak off his hands.

There's a 15# on eBay right now going for about $50 plus shipping.  Just in case anyone else is looking for one.
