Track arsenal question
« on: May 04, 2005, 02:13:51 PM »
I'm in the process of getting an all Track arsenal. I just bought a Aggressive from Ebay, and am bidding on a GP2. With those two, if I add an Angular and a Xception, will I have an overlap? Also, with the Agrressive, will a Slash overlap with that, or is it OK to add?

My Heat is way smoother than my Hexplosion and probably a few boards weaker overall as well. Those 2 balls are the 2 longest balls I own right now from Track, as both get down the lane nicely. The Hex's particle cover does make it want to try to turn, but the core and high rg help it get down the lane and turn pretty nicely. The Heat is just, well....the Heat, I don't know if anyone can say more than that with all of the success that ball has had.

I can asssume the Hexplosion is a good dry lane ball. For that condition, could you suggest a drill?

I had a lot of problems with my Hexplosion drilled 4 1/2 by 6 on dry conditions. It wanted to go to long on medium to light patterns and on patterns with a really dry mid-lane the ball seemed to jumpy or burned up on entry. The ball was very good when you had a little oil up front and dry backends but the Heat (drilled 4 by 4) still carries better for me and I can still use it on the other conditions where I struggled with the Hexplosion.

Hope this helps.

DW hit it on the head....the Heat would probably be the better choice with something around his layout....

Thanks DW and Clint,

I was going to get a Hexplosion for cheap on Ebay, but now I will wait and get a Heat.
