Calling Excaliber! And other Track Guru's
« on: December 06, 2004, 12:14:08 PM »
Hey,

Been a while a hasn't it? How have you been?

I am currently only throwing track. I figured, if possible, why not finish off my arsenal with another. What does track offer for a light oil/to dry lane ball? My weakest ball at the moment besides a spare ball is my Revmaster.

Now, of course I have heard of the dry heat. But, would it be too strong like most people say? Crunch Time Maybe? Or... should I hold off b/c Track is in the process of making one?

LMK. Thanks in advance.

Kyle

Kyle,

Currently the Dry Heat is the only option. With mine I cannot use it when there is oil present. ACTUALLY, another possible solution is the Hexplosion. Other than those 2, your options are limited. It is MUCH weaker than the Revmaster. The CrunchTime is a great ball, but it is too strong for dry lanes.

he nailed it. Dry heat or Hexplosion. Personaly, dry heat gives me more room on more conditions.

Even though it is not Track I am in love with ebonite´s V2 Dry.  My old coach got one for the World Championship in Malasyia ( he´s on the National Team ) and because we don´t see alot of dry lanes I have seen him throw it a few times on the right condition and it is absolutly phenominal.  It keeps going and then when it moves it destroys the pins.
I am a huge Track fan but when I saw that buddiesproshop is listing them for 65$ I am seriously thinking about getting one.

just my 2 cents

Hey BD,

The Dry Heat, Hexplosion and Crash are currently Tracks longest balls.  All 3 do sit under the Revmaster in reaction.  I'd say they're about a good 3-4 boards weaker overall comparatively.  Hope this helps...
