Xception question
« on: April 16, 2005, 02:48:22 AM »
Hi. I have the Rule GP2 for heavier oil and carrydown and I just love it. Its amazing. Would you guys recommend this ball to me for medium oil? I love the snap backend of the GP2. It sounds good but what do you think?

bowling9883: Abowling ball is only as good as its results.  If that GP2 is working on med oil, then you match up too the lane pretty good(ball speed and revolution).  Good luck with using all TRACK equipment.

The Xception is great on the mediums. It does need some dry to get working, thus the reason it likes the mediums so much. On heavy, the ball will slide and not recover due to it being a reactive pearl.

Exactly right about the AA! A few boards stronger early and will work in a little more soup than the X. Just has a little less backend.

The Xception would be a totally different reaction than what you get out of the GP2. The Xception would tend to skate down the lane more, and move all at once on the backend. It will definately not cover the heavier oil that the GP2 is able to handle.

Hey bowling9883,

The Xception is a good fit for medium to med lite oil.  It will also give you the nice strong but controlled backend reaction like the GP2 but for drier conditions.  I currently have this in my bag....hope this helps some.

Heavy - GP2
Med Heavy - Arsenal Aggressive
Med medium - Arsenal Angular
Med lite - Xception
