Replacing a Threat....
« on: February 01, 2006, 03:05:57 AM »
I currently have a threat that will need replacing in the very near future and would like a ball with similar reaction in a pearl particle. (very readable ball.) Any suggestions.

The Threat was a ball that didn't react like particle at all in my opinion.

The closest thing in the current line is going to be the Heat remake. It is very similiar throughout the entire lane to the Threat. Everything else that could fit there wouldn't be particle.

Carl,

Thanks for the info. Will the Heat have more backend than the Threat? That is why I like my Threat so much. It was an easy read..

The Threat moved a ton on the backend for me.

They are very similiar overall. Personally I wouldn't have a difficult time drilling a heat in the same manner as a Threat if I wanted to try to duplicate reaction.

The Threat was such a light load particle that is was virtually reactive. What type of cover prep and layout do you have on your Threat?

Carl,

My pin is butt up against the ring finger(directly to the side) and the CG is 1/2 off the center of the grip. (If this helps)

That type of layout on a Heat should give a simliar reaction.....atleast the closest to what Track has out right now.

My Threat was drilled with the pin below the ring finger(roughly 4.5x4 layout)  and it still went a LONG way.

Goodluck,
