Xception vs. Rule
« on: February 18, 2005, 11:37:15 AM »
Anything that I've heard about the Rule is not good. When it came out is was not good, which is not characteristic of Track balls.  Therefore they came out with the Xception which is very skid-flip and performs very well.

"It all comes down to this roll. Roy Munson, a man-child, with a dream to topple bowling giant Ernie McCracken. If he strikes, he's the 1979 Odor-Eaters Champion. He's got one foot in the frying pan and one in the pressure cooker. Believe me, as a bowler, I know that right about now, your bladder feels like an overstuffed vacuum cleaner bag and your butt is kinda like an about-to-explode bratwurst."  Bill Murray--"Kingpin"

I also have a Rule and it's an awesome ball.  On a fresh med/heavy to heavy oil shot with decent backends, my Rule opens up the lane like a champ!  I love the ball!

Just curious though; what bad things have you heard about the Rule?

The Xception was made to compliment the Rule (ie. Rule for heavy to med/heavy, Xception for med/heavy to med).

Same question here Sniffersrow, what did you hear or where did you get that info?  When we described the Rule on this forum and from my vids, there was never a question about this.

The Xception is one of biggest backend balls on the market today. I'm still learning on how to tame it. I have heard that the Rule needs to stay clean and not to modify the surface if you want consistency with it.

There is only 1 way to hit the hole and that is long and hard and always from the left.

I love the Rule.  Have had no problems at all with it and it seems that some other guys here who have one like it too.
