What are you looking for the ball to do? I would assume move sooner than anything else you have? but let us know!

Clint,
Thanx for the reply ... yeah, I would like to have this ball layed out for heavy oil/tourny/long oil patterns; I bowl two scratch leagues and get to bowl on various PBA patterns once a week in Simi Valley. I'm a power stroker and prefer arcing to skid/flip. I can provide the current layout on my MoRich Total Annihilation tomorrow, if that will help. If my profile info is incomplete, let me know what I need and what to update.
Thanx again !!!

Laybzz,

For longer oil patterns and an arcing reaction you are going to want to have your pin in the 3 1/2- 3 3/4 range....keep it low(at finger level or below) to help the ball start up a bit sooner. The MB is your next step....I would place it no further than 1/2 inch left of your VAL....the safest bet is probably directly on your VAL or slightly right of it.

This layout is going to start up early and arc very strongly towards the pocket. I have one drilled up pretty close to this and it is so strong that I cannot even dream of using this on a league shot. For the it starts up very early but is still very strong on the backend. Ofcourse this is with minimal use due to lack of oil to test it on.

I hope this helps, and please message me/rick/clint if you have any other questions.

Hey laybzz74,

I'm with Ex on his suggestion of keeping the pin around lev position under fingers and mb on val.  This will help the ball get started pretty quickly and continue a nice smooth arcing motion.

If you want just a little more pop, move your mb away from val (left) more into the strong position.  This will help delay it some to store some energy for the backend.  Hope this helps...
