freakazoid, xception, angular
« on: April 18, 2005, 02:21:55 PM »
I'm looking for a shorter pattern ball. My short pattern ball while playin inside is the intense inferno. The ball is great on that one specific condition. I'm looking for a ball similar to the skid/flip that i get out of the intense. Also if the ball is more consistent would be helpful. I was looking at the xception pearl and the angular. I want a ball that goes longer than the freakazoid. I hav that right now and it has a ton of midlane for me. So if u guys can tell me the differences between the freakazoid and the angular and xception it would help me out a lot. And what does everyone mean by the ball reving up faster(i thought the bowlers controled the revs not the ball) and whats the benefit of the ball reving the ball quicker. Thanks!

djann,

First, when someone says the ball revs faster they mean it starts hooking sooner. The bowler controls alot of that, but the ball comes into play just as much.

Secondly...the Xception sounds perfect for what you are looking for. The Freakazoid and Arsenal Angular both "rev up faster" or get into a roll sooner than the Xception. The Angular and Xception give a similiar kind of reaction, but the Xception gets more length before it makes it turn. The Freakazoid as a skid/flip ball is really not a good idea.

I hope this info helps.

Hey djann,

I agree with Ex on the Xception.  It is definitely a good fit under your FAZ and it can be drilled to be a little more stable at the breakpoint vs your Intense.  That's the beauty and flexibility of having an asym vs sym block.

In regards to a ball revving up faster, this would apply to the individual strictly.  Meaning that if you throw the FAZ and the Intense (drilled the same), the FAZ will rev up quicker because of it's core design.  It doesn't mean that I'll out rev you or vise versa.  Hope this helps explain some...
