Ohio Inter City tourney results

Had a great time meeting novawagonmaster (Jon) and bowling with him and Rev-O for team event. Shot was just the opposite of last year in Steubenville...last year, hit 10 to the gutter, watch the ball go 65 feet...this year, sniff the 10 board, and watch the ball take out the 7 pin...it was unreal how dry the outsides were. I started in team event standing 20 and playing 15...had a decent shot, but not much room....went 227 with a stoned 8 and 9, 232, and then the dried out QUICK...missed a spare and left a 4-6 combined with only a couple of strikes and a big 168 was posted for a 627 set. When I moved deeper, ball wouldn't turn the corner, and of course, where I was playing and out was so dry, it was immediate turn...should have went to something stronger earlier in the lane so I could have moved deeper, but oh well...

Came back Sunday and chose a slightly longer Robo with more backend....and it was the right choice. Went 226-240-224 in doubles for a decent 690...but I left a few pins on the table with a couple of DUMB mistakes (you had to stay firm with the ball...get soft and you were through the beak...and I did that 2-3 times in this block) and then we bowl singles on the same pair, and they were really getting fried...QUICK! Went 214-242-211(667) with a few dumb mistakes again (missed 2 easy spares)...

All in all...shot 1984 for all events and only had one game below 211....

As I mentioned somewhere else, where I started each day here (playing around 20) is deeper than I have been ALL YEAR anywhere else...this place flat hooked, so it was different to be so far inside, but we made it work somewhat!

yeah, it was a good time even though bowling wasn't that great. Jon bowled very well (2130's for AE), including a 288 with the front 10 in singles. He made those Lane#1 balls look good! My scores weren't that great (626-721-587=1934). As Clint stated, the outsides were SCREAMIN'. In team, it was move left every two frames. Doubles wasn't bad, but singles was brutal, either strike or split. All in all, it was great bowling with Clint, Jon, and Mark. We had a good time, and look forward to next year.
