You can tell Del is back!
« on: February 27, 2006, 03:42:55 AM »
Just got my month of March closeout list from one of my distributors.....here are the following balls on their list. I will note however they do make a point of telling us just because they (the distributor) has a ball on closeout, does not necessarily mean the ball is actually being closed out by the ball manufacturer.

Delta
5.0
GP2
X
Rule
Arsenal Reactive
Arsenal Angular
Arsenal Aggresive
Blue Heat
Heat
Slash
Solution
Solution Ex

Looks like that leaves the Machine, Robo Rule, Arsenal Artillery, Heat Blast, Desert Heat.

You can tell Del wants to get everything back on his path on what he wants to do!

If one of the balls on the list is one of your favorites, better go get it NOW!

Clint,

Agree.  But what perplexes me is Del never left.  All Track balls issued when he was Vp of Ed/Tech for C300 were still of his design.  He may not have been responsible for every day to day decision at Track, but ball releases and such he most certainly was.  If Del's cleaning house, it's his house he's cleaning....
I just don't get it.....

From my understanding....I have no internal insight obviously, even though Del was still there, he was not in charge of the direction of any brand, he was responsible for developing equipment for both Columbia and Track, and the teaching, etc. Now with Del back in charge of Track, I feel, just as I would, he wants to go a certain direction, like the first time he went to Track. its sort of like when a new coach comes to a team...they work with what they have and get rid of what they don't want and get what they do want in.

It looks like the lineup needed to be thinned a little. Not necessarily that much, but definitely to some extent. I just think there were too many different Track releases over the past year or so and it was impossible to keep up with the new balls and how they overlapped with something else. Plus it gives certain balls a chance to get established as solid Track releases instead of just going by the wayside when the next slew of releases come out a few months later.
