Title: You pick!!!!
Post by: C-G ProShop-Carl on July 16, 2006, 02:53:22 PM
This is another one of those posts where we say what we want in a Track ball...only I want you to be specific.

FOR INSTANCE: I want a ball that clears the heads like the Equation, has the midlane roll of the Mean Machine and the backend of the Xception>>>>>>>>>>and I want it in a reactive ball.

What would you like to see...using the above method? Do not state specific core shapes or coverstocks.

I want a remake of the Critical Masses, both original and the 1st Code Red.  I see these remakes from other companies.  Remake the Masses!!!

I really like Track to make a dry-light ball, Power Plus EX Reactive as a coverstock with the robo core.

Man, that would be the best ball on the market for dry lanes then robo core got every part of the oil cover.

no its not.. lol..

pigmentation plays a key roll as well..

if they designed the exact same ball, but different colors on the ball, it would be way different.

The red and orange colors mean it will go longer, and have a bigger snap than a bluish colored ball that starts roll early and finishes strong.

theres more to it than just saying different words on it.

i would still want a strike machine, even if the mean and strike were the same IDENTICAL ball..

Asymmetrical that rolls like a Desert Heat in the heads and midlane with the backend of the Exception.

I have seen several times lately where people are saying that the color of a ball affects how it will roll/react. Where do you get this information cause it is false/a myth. If this were the case then all heavy oil balls would be a certain color and light oil balls would be something different. It may appear that certain colors hook more but it is an optical illusion, just like some balls appear to be revving harder due to the contrast and/or pattern of their colors.
The only way that color variations would affect the ball's reaction would be if it were some sort of a blend and the colors were each of a different composition. The cover is not mixed in this fashion though, the blend is mixed and then split and the pigments are added to the blend. If you did it the other way quality control would be a big issue due to lack of control over where the colors end up. I don't know for sure that this is how blends are formulated but it is the only way that makes sense.
Someone had some Machine seconds listed here awhile back and a couple of them were almost completely green and the others were almost completely purple which ones will hook more the purple or green ones.

Well to keep the post the way carl wanted it not with coverstocks being said or cores (Yet people already didnt listen to this and have stated that stuff because they dont read or pay attention.) I want a ball with the roll in the heads like the animal, the midlanes like the gp2 and the backend of the mean machine. I would also like it to be asmetrical particle.

Stormwick,

machine101 is correct....pigment does play a small roll. I do not know if it is as drastic as it was 5-6 years ago, but it is true.

Lillen,

The ratings for the STrike Machine are based on the OLD numbers Track used...the Mean Machine is on the new rating system.

Are you serious that colors make a affect in reaction? If so how do you explain the Lane #1 Uranium Pearl (Blue) didnt get into a rolll that great but had a booming backend. and the Lane #1 Uranium Solid (also Blue) That was even arcing.
