Hi All,

With the release of THE RISING only 10 short days away...heres something to wet your appetite

http://www.videoballreviews.com/track.html

The versatility of this ball with surface changes alone is awesome...and you can really see the difference in reaction between the two layouts Paul Figliomeni chose for me to use in the videos...this is a whole new breed of core technology...

Enjoy!

Ball looks really good. I'd love to see a higher rev player throw it.. The ball would almost be like a boom-a-rang.. Ball looks good in your hand.. I thought 1000 rolled the best for you.. I'm surprised you didn't play more in with the ball, as in 15-5 or 6 like you were playing earlier in the video.

Great vid as usual.are those risings the early one's or the new "tweaked" risings?I have to say they look awfully rolly and not the backend I was expecting to see.the cover changes didn't seem to make much difference also.
not that that's a bad thing I just didn't see much difference between the 2 different layout either.I thought it was supposed to make all the difference in the world with this ball?

Xfest,

You are right about 1000 matching up with me the best...i noticed that too when i was throwing it...thats what i have it at now!  Like i said its more ball than the resurgence at the surface.

Also, sometimes unfortunately i do break my own shot down...so i had to adjust...

Sixpack,

Thanks man!  The surface changes seemed to make a difference to me...over a ball width from 4000 to 500 and the ball still drove pretty good (i was running out of room left at 500 thanks to the ball return)  There aren't many balls that still perform to their full potential at all those surfaces and i saw this one do that...

i guess what im saying is if you would get one, don't be afraid to touch the surface to get your desired reaction...it will make a difference

and also remember, all i did was go from pin down to pin up (it changed the mass bias position too) BUT there was a whole ball width distance between #1 and #2 on the house shot...

on the blended shot it was a little more even...maybe 4 boards...but we are talking about the same ball, same surface, different layout by moving the MB and Pin up about 2"

people say cover determines 70% of reaction...i think for this one the layout will really help dictate ball motion in a big way...even more so than your typical assymetric ball...

Are we going to see a vid featuring a Rising drilled with the other 360 degree technology drilling? I mean, the inverted one, with the MB over your fingers?

Anyways, ball looks strong, though more in the midlane and backend, not just the backend.

I think they have plans of doing videos for the different layouts...i don't know who will be doing them tho...

very strong ball throughout the entire lane...as i stated in the other thread, stronger than the Resurgence for me at the same surface (1000)

Brit, good work bro...I know as some of you can see that (if you pay really close attention) different surface grits do affect the ball reaction.

One question caught my eye, about our 360 degree technology....it's really "not" that hard to comprehend.  Due to our 7lb+ core, you can draw a line from marked mass bias thru the pin half way around the ball (13.5 inches away) and you will find another mass bias of equal strength!  Regardless of where cg falls, we can drill the ball accordingly.

Ron H is a true madman and the more and more I talk to him, the more I am impressed.  Randy T (VP of R&D) is another I must give recognition and props to, he has figured it out.....if chemical mixtures were so easy, don't you think we'd have equipment from Mexico or China.....it's not and they don't, even color coding affects what a ball can do.  These guys ARE that good....

another question,I'm considering either the Resurgence or the Rising, could you give a little insite on how these two compare?

First off, they both hook a ton...secondly, it depends on what you are looking for.  I think it depends on if you prefer asymmetric or symmetric cores.  At the same surface with similar layouts the rising is a board or two stronger...the resurgence has more of a stable ball motion throughout the lane, where as the rising is more aggressive in the backend...really depends what you are looking for!

Ebonite is doing a very good job of creating seperation between the brands...i applaud them for that!  I know we were all a little worried about how they would pull that off...

hope that helps!
