What'd ya use in Texas???
« on: March 26, 2006, 10:22:28 AM »
I know it's been a big question at our center, what kind of balls are popular at Nationals.

What did you use?

What ball did you see the most?

What ball had the most success?

Any help would be great!

I am going 9 Apr... taking 2000 wet abralon 12 o'clock label drilled Vendetta Pearl for up the boards, a 2000 wet abralon label leveraged Thing Lives for baby outside swing.

Taking a Storm Fear Factor pin over ring mb strong 1000 wet abralon and pin under ring 60 degree 1000 wet abralon D/T Centrifugal Mass w/power CAP for when I jump 10 boards left and need flip shots of 2 different lengths.

Still can't decide on the 45 degree pin under D/T Energy or D/T ZR40 for my power pearl and a Storm polyester spare ball cause I don't play with my release a whole lot on spares.

For the BTM (48 foot flat oil shot), a Storm Paradigm Passion drilled for maximum flare @ 500 wet abralon and 1000 wet abralon D/T Pure Energy pin over 45 degree unless I can find a ball with the same cover as a racquetball so I can grab the lanes...

I played outside 7-4 during team and the first 2 games of doubles 11-5 because it gave me the best look. Used a Passion during team, and then a vapor zone during doubles, after that had to move inside with my pyro and finished playing 25-13 shot wasn't to bad it was just all carry for me. Petrick was on our squad and she was playing right with a 1000 grit absolute during team went 758, and then moved in a little for singles and doubles. Most of the success during team was playing right till the last game  with something that had surface, and then moving in deep during singles and doubles.

During team the best line I found was playing straight up 8 board with my Impulse Zone.  I tried moving outside by the line was spotty at best with my equipment.  I had issues carrying in team but was able to resolve it for D/S.  During D/S I was able to move in playing 22 at the arrows out to 12 with the Impulse Zone again.  When carrydown set in and I needed a bit more flip I switch to the Formula and played the same line.  I had a much more consistent line when I played deeper than when I was outside.  Pics of said balls in profile.
