if corpus or baton rouge can pull it together in that short of a time frame i anticipate them getting it, Witchita pissed off the USBC so i dont expect to see it there

It's coming to Detroit...I guess bowlers complained about all the nice weather and fun times they were having at Nationals, so they decided to move it to the D.

It won't be Baton Rouge, we're there in 2012.  I'm betting Corpus Christi as it's been what, 3 years?  Could be Albuquerque again since it would be a couple years in between.  At least we know both would love to have us back from everything we heard from the locals.  Doubt it will be East as it doesn't seem anyone is interested in bidding for it.  But with economics being the reason for a year delay in building the facility in Orlando, maybe it will the reason for someone in the East to step forward and bid for a change.

Iceman has good points - it has to go somewhere that wants it - that is why I named the places I did.
Short time frame also may mean it needs to be some place with experience putting this together.
Baton Rouge I didn't say because it has 2012.
Maybe Vegas would want it back as bad as things are there.

I hope it goes to Houston......A new city, new places to see.....plus then I don't have to travel, maybe....if I'm still living here by then .

Seriously, I think Corpus is a good bet, based on the fact thwy know how to run it and seem very interested in getting the tournament back as often as possible. Also, don't count out Wichita. Whatever they did to lose it is water under the vridge at this point, without a place to hold it, anywhere that can afford it and can make it work in this short of a time frame will be considered.

Reno also will be a possibility since that is an open year there.  I'm sure USBC would see that as a last resort but they might not have a lot of options this late in the situation.

The USBC is wanting to get away from building lanes and thought they had in 2011.

Reno was one of the finalist for 2011 after the Wichita debacle.

I think Tulsa was one too or they put the bid in for it, but I surely don't see it coming there. I would love it to be there only because I am an hour away, but there is NOTHING to do there.
