Well, any time I hear "more miss room," I am happy. Then again, all that means is that the truly good bowlers will whack it even more than they normally do, and the house hacks like me may be able to grind to 570 per set as opposed to 530. I suck. lol

"More" is a relative term... I'm used +/- 3 boards in order to shoot 600 sets...not expecting that to be available.

When i hear more miss room, i think less big splits. Not that i will carry any better. Just means i might not leave that big split.

I'm always bad with volumes...is this a lot of volume for patterns of these lengths?

as far as hold/miss room.
maybe a slight bit of hold in, maybe 1 board.
as far as miss room outside, i only saw it farther down the lane
1 board outside your mark at the arrows is a washout or split.
Its still a tough pattern that requires good shotmaking and correct equipment choices.
these things they mention about miss room and hold are very minor
just IMO though from what we saw last night during league and practice afterwards

Watched a squad of singles/ doubles today. Shot played quite nicely around 12 at arrows to just outside the furthest range marker. This seemed to last for the first two games. Then dried up and everything was hooking early. Moving in didn't seem to get the ball down the lane further. A couple guys that really threw the ball well struggled. Finally it looked like they balled down and really got inside deep about 5th arrow in order to keep the ball near the pocket. It appeared really, really dry.
We bowl tomorrow/Sunday... should be able to comment a bit more then.

That sounds like the results I'd expect, given what people are saying about length/volume. That's a really tough shot, really gets us house bowlers out of our comfort zone.

Anyone received any reports etc on how these are playing? Anyone have someone they know that has found success?

I typed up a big summary note, but unfortunately BE froze on my phone before submitting and I lost it all. Haven't had a chance to retype.
Team was much tighter than expected (bowling on supposedly the same shot during lane 81 session). S/D was decent to start, but really transitioned quickly. Both were very "touchy" with regards to speed, angles, etc. Not much room for error.

More? I heard scores will be high.

If you have solid fundamentals, you should do well
correct equipment and lane play is always a contributing factor
If you can practice on this patten, it will only help, wont be exact, but it should help you realize how important repeating good shots is.
Best thing you can do to improve scores is practice your spares.
Throw straight at all spares (unless double wood)
