2019 USBC nationals question: balance hole?
« on: May 18, 2019, 10:19:25 AM »
The new rules  eliminating the Balance Hole, thumb holes for 2 finger, does the new rules apply to 2019 nationals  or only the 2020 nationals?

Balance holes are good to go this year.  And since the new rule doesn't start until 1 August 2020 they should be good for nationals next year.  The way I read it, you can follow the old rule or the new rule, but you can't have a combo of the 2.

Correct. You can have a balance hole but you must abide by the 1 oz rule or you can have no balance hole for the 3 oz rule

I had balance holes in 2 of my balls and they went thru without a hitch.

They had both gone thru in years past as well.
