Bought the team practice session. I paid for it and invited all from our 2 teams to attend. I was by myself the entire session. It played identical to one lane at the Plaza. The other lane? Looking at the topography graph it’s uphill and boy oh boy I could not get the ball to the pocket. I used urethane and a 1 inch pin Tour Obsession.
Doubles and singles was a crap show. Fish fish fish. Finally moved right of 20 (I’m a lefty) and found something.
Oh well. Go and have fun and bowl well.

No worries. I know exactly how you feel.
I put in a lot of practice sessions, ironing out my perceived weaknesses for months. Put together a decent 4 ball arsenal (one was plastic) based on past experiences and supposed common sense.
I don't know, it just seems that I suck at South Point. I had a decent look in G2 & 3 of team, and doubles. Singles-where everyone seems to succeed, I stunk. Truly disappointing for sure.
I'm a squad leader, booked our dates for next year. I'm already not looking forward to it- don't beat me up but I cannot wait to get back to Reno.

If you guys don't mind, can I just copy your tournament recap and post it as my report?
Of course, I don't bowl until next week, but I have a good idea of how it's going to go. ;D

Yeah go for it. In fact I’m going to copy mine for my 2022 OC report ;D

I bowled last weekend (Right hander - tweener). Team event played a little easier than years past, but there still isn't that much miss room in my opinion. Ended up with 690 with a couple bad shots each game with a Hustle PBR. Doubles and Singles was NOT GOOD. Every ball wanted to hook as soon as it hit the lane and I never got a clear picture of what to do. Grinded out a couple disappointing 570's for a 1830 all events. Not what I was hoping for, but after seeing last years team champions struggle to shoot 530 the day before in doubles/singles, didn't make me feel like my performance was too terrible. The only guys I saw having much success on our squad were covering a ton of boards. Definitely not something you see at Nationals very much....

Went 2nd week of May and thought like most it was the most forgiving conditions. 590 in team with two opens and a lot of miss room. (After a absolutely miserable night and day leading up to the late squad of team I was not disappointed.
Had a very similar look for dbls/sngs using a 2" pin Counter Attack solid outside 1st arrow. Unfortunately two bowlers with urethane destroyed that look and everything from 20 to the gutter. $800 in brackets gone half way through game 2 with 4 remaining. Who you are with is everything.
