Hopefully someone will have some info as to whether he played out like Shannon P. or if he was further in.

A guy who was there said on my Facebook page that he played outside 5. And yes he is lefty.

Congratulations Matt.

I've hung out and bowled with Matt in the Masters a couple years ago.  The kid throws it really good and has a great future ahead of him.

I would honestly say it's not surprising that he bowled that well, but breaking records, that's just awesome.

I guess that John Bauerle Jr. of Indianapolis,759 in team Friday night, and he added 738 in singles and 728 in doubles for a 2,225 all-events effort, the highest in the tournament didn't last long. The best part was his doubles partner didn't show up to the 8th frame of the first game thinking he didn't bowl till 12 hours later.

How would that fit in your craw?

Nice bowling to  Matt....

There''s a shot outside for the rightys, too, with straighter lines and the right equipment choice. There is more friction this year outside than I can remember, however, if you swing it wide there''s still O.B. Being pretty accurate is still very important.

My downfall this year was (as usual) LOTS of splits, which lead to open frames.

I just talked to Matt this morning.  He was throwing a pin down 900 Global Break Out up 5 pretty much the whole time.  Congrats to Matt, that is an unbelievable accomplishment!

I leave for Reno in just under a month and have had some success playing way out at nationals. While I dont plan on coming anywhere near that score, its encouraging to see a lefty be able to score so well on the gutter. Does anyone know his game well? rev rate, speed, etc?
