Tell me this doesn't solidify the need for fresh conditions in minors, as well.  I led our foursome with 1180 following 18-20 straight ballers that all but inverted the pattern left-to-right.  Sour grapes?  Maybe but there's little chance of him tossing 1632 on the pairs we crossed on.

And the high scores just keep rolling in.  Seems like since the two teams shot 3400 last week on the same squad, there have been more and more high scores.  You almost feel sorry for Edwards only holding the lead for a couple days.  Yet, to have a tournament like that really is an amazing accomplishment when put into perspective and when you realize how many good players come through that tournament.

I remember a slew of high scores hit for about two to three weeks after I left the tournament last year on the 1st of May.  So many good teams came through right after we left.  Before my plane landed back in Anchorage, my score of 772 in singles (which was good for 6th at the time it was shot) had dropped to 10th.  I do recall my name showing up in a Riggs update as 10th place in singles.  The highlight of my bowling career.  Not the score, making it in the blog!

Blog is updated. Didn't get pairs but he bowled 2:30 p.m. & 9:20 a.m. and used  a Storm Anarchy wearing an Ebonite shirt LOL.

Ebonite has nothing to sweat about.  They've got the PBA POTY in Mika and Mark McDowell will join Riggs and his band of brothers this time next month to give Hopkinsville another/more chance(s) for an Eagle(s).

yes, but they will have to share it with storm and everyone else not be exclusive. POTY..I guess if one really cares about those stats when it comes to buying a ball

I hope Mac and Shades make those Ebonites sing to the tune of about 2,300 each in Reno!!

No traffic on his D/S pair before his two 800's?  The official release from USBC seemed to counter this, although it could be interpreted either way.

From USBC:

"After his team event, Weggen knew he needed to change his game plan for doubles and singles and arrived at the Stadium early to get a glimpse of how the bowlers were playing the lanes he'd be bowling on."

Regardless, impressive either way.  If it was really on a (slightly aged) fresh...even more respect.  I've bowled the 7am D/S in  Reno before and it was brutal...

There WAS a squad of bowlers at 7 a.m. in front of Matt!!!!

My apologies for the erroneous FB post this morning that I removed as soon I learned I had misinterpreted information that was sent to me.  I took it as no one bowled in front of them instead of no one good bowled in front of them.

My bad. My apologies.
