Title: abc nationals
Post by: thomascallender on March 11, 2005, 11:03:14 PM
Just a few notes on the ABC NATIONALS at baton rouge from a local bowler who is working in the scale room.--- If your gonna sit in the stands & watch bring a heavy jacket- its cold up there..  The most successful bowlers seem to be standing left & rolling around third or just inside third arrow (righthanders).
This is a tight line as getting it to wide is washout city. I have watched a lot of young crankers try swinging it wide & be reduced to shame real fast. Its a accuracy shot.. not gonna overpower it no matter who you are.. Left handers are having it tough also.. saw Mike Aubrey (spelling?) shoot 211-199 his first two team games..   Its a good shot.. just be accurate at all costs..
shiny pearl balls that don't snap to hard on the back end seem to be giving the widest area for strikes.. Good Luck!!  thomasray300@cox.net

Thomas you are very right about the cold.  We were on 7 and 8 under the vents and it was very cold.

The high end is quite a bit warmer.
