Any plans for Vegas besides gambling and bowling?
« on: February 18, 2009, 12:41:24 AM »
Are you looking forward to anything besides the obvious?  I'm not a big gambler, maybe spend a couple hours at the tables.  I think we're gonna try to hit a show and do some sight seeing.

If you visit the Hoover dam remember to take a dam tour and to follow the dam tour guide or else you may get dam lost.

I go to Vegas at least three times a year, so there is nothing new there for me to do. But the weekend that I do go for Nationals, I will be bowling a LOT. I am bowling the PBA West Region Non-Champs tournament and also the Member/Non-Member Doubles tournament that is going on at that same time. I will definitely be busy and most likely tired!

Let me guess:  You'll be there all next week and I should try the veal, right?

Your a young man to being saying there is nothing for you new? I have been there 35 times and still find something new to do.

There has to be a restaurant or show you haven't done?

LOL I guess I shouldn't say that then. I've never really been to interested in the shows, except the Blue Man Group is one that I would go and see. Maybe some day...

This will be the first time that the "better half" is out in Vegas, so she's getting to call some of the shots...

We're going to Cirque du Soliel  ( the "O" show hopefully), and she'd also like to see Criss Angel. Also, we're gonna cruise the strip a couple nights...you know, the stereotypical "tourists" takin pictures and what-not.

I myself, would like to check out Madamme Toussaud's, and bowl at some of the old Fremont casinos.

Also hopin to catch up with any BR members who are out there... I'm there from March 2-10.

PS..forgot to mention that we're going to drive to the Grand Canyon one day...

I second the Hoover Dam and Death Valley suggestions, Death Valley also has a golf course which isn't bad, but you have to get there real early for a tee time because they close the Pro shop at 10 am in the summer!

I would also suggest the Valley of Fire state park.
