Looking for some help on my 5-ball arsenal for Reno. One will be a plastic ball for spares. I'm a stroker, around 300 rpm, speed 14-14.5 mph at the pins on Qubica.
I have WAY too many balls to list all of them for consideration. What I would prefer are suggestions for 4 balls in terms of characteristics; high/low pin, surface, symm/asymm, etc. I can make the choices from there. Thanks!

from what i have heard symmetrical is the way to go. if you go with assymetrical i would bring ones that dont boomerrang.

My stats are very similar to yours. I took two symmetrical balls and two assymetrical balls. I had the most success with the assymetrical balls. As a lower rev player, I needed the extra angle to carry.
My best look was with a 2000 surface pin up ball in team and a 2000 with polish pin up ball in doubles and singles.

I'm curious, what were the asymmetrical balls you were using? Were they at OOB surface? My stats are similar to yours, along with about 10 degrees tilt, and I will be in Reno on the 24th & 25th. I am planning on taking a pin-up Sync currently at 4000, a pin beside ring Nightmare at 4000, and a pin beside ring Nomad at 2500-4000, all balls done with NEAT pads, though I'm concerned the 4000 surface balls might be too high to start with.

In addition to a spare ball, I had with me:
Motiv Covert Revolt-3000 abralon
Motiv Venom Shock-4000 abralon
Ebonite Pivot-1500 abranet
Ebonite Pivot Point-1500 abranet with polish
All at box condition. However the Covert Revolt has some lane shine on it.
My best reaction was with the Pivot in team and Pivot Point in Doubles. I used the Venom Shock in doubles, but my carry was bad.

I had my best look during singles, with a pin up low flaring ball. Played a fairly tight inside line with not much snap. As singles went on I moved a little left, but no big jump. The carry was consistent (at least for USBC Open conditions).
I probably should have tried this earlier on in Doubles, but I was throwing a ball with more backend and hitting the pocket, but just not carrying.

I am trying to decide what equipment and surface I want to go with. I am bringing the following equipment:
Endless nightmare- pin up, I am thinking 1500
Yeti Untamed- pin up, this is my biggest decision. Do I leave it at 500/polish or 4000 abr. or 500/compound. How much difference between 4000 & compound.
Diva Pearl- pin down OOB
Dude- pin up but smooth
Any suggestions appreciated

symmetric rolly pieces worked the best for me.
columbia disorder at 3000 for team, balled down to shiny disruption
minors was a tour edition legacy, pin down, 4000 dull, very rolly
need to keep angles down if possible, straighter the better until you have some friction outside.
best advice to keep your scores up, practice, practice, practice those pares
