Best Line for Fresh Shot?
« on: June 03, 2003, 09:58:36 PM »
From what I have read here and heard from others who have been there and done it,there seems to be two good lines on the fresh team shot (or if you happen to bowl on of the early singles and doubles squads).  First seems to be somewhere around the first arrow with an aggressive ball OR the second seems to be deeper on the lane around the 5th arrow with a skid/snap ball.  I know these are based upon personal preference and which line you are most comfortable throwing, but in general which line do you think holds up the best?

If you have hand and speed deep is the way to go. I would say mid amount of axis rotation is good. To much and you'll have fun with a consistant breakpoint and over/under. Gutter is for fluffers like myself. I had one other guy throw it and he couldn't get his speed down enough. I would use a very weak ball such as older resin or low flare ball or drill pattern.

Excellent.  That's where I like to play...  And since the ball returns are off the approaches, there should be any trouble getting far enough left.  I have an inferno and if that's too much, I have an HRG I ilke to throw.  I was thinking about picking up a conquest today or tomorrow just as a third option...
