Title: BJ Side Event
Post by: Pinbuster on March 23, 2021, 05:10:28 PM: Has anyone heard where the BJ is going to be held?

The USBC open site says information coming in March but it said that about February the whole month then switched to March.

It looks like the 40 frame game is being held at Gold Coast. I am not familiar with the Gold Coast and don't know if they would have room for the BJ as well.

Post by: slhohnstein on March 23, 2021, 05:28:43 PM: IMO, I believe the Gold Coast could hold both the BJ and the 40 Framer. 70 lanes with K&K Pro Shop in the center. I think it could be done. Not a lot of concourse space however, get a lot of bowlers in there at one time and it could get hectic.
We bowled the Military Championships there for a many years. Fond memories.

This makes more sense, plus keeps everyone close to South Point. I couldn't see them trying to make everyone drive out to either of the Stations (Texas, Sunset, or Santa Fe), Suncoast, Sam's Town, or Redrock for that.

Because COVID, I could see the BJ being at Gold Coast and the 40-frame being at Orleans.

The orleans is the host center.

Squad times seem limited to me and since we donâ€™T get in till 6 pm no squads will be available to us before we bowl team the next day.
