bowling ball shipping service
« on: March 21, 2013, 09:17:27 AM »
So going to my first Nationals ever and after the sticker shock of airline fares from Philly, I'm not looking forward to paying to check in my ball bags and still lug them through the airport.  Has anyone used the ball shipping service being promoted on USBC or mailed their equipment to the hotel themselves?

What type of UPS store can you drop them off at, can it be any UPS store or does it have to be a Hub because of the weight and size?

Any UPS pick up point. I have a local mailing and packaging store that services all of the Delivery companies. The Delivery companies all stop at the end of the day to pick up packages. You can look up UPS store or drop points and find the closest one to you. Verify it with a phone call. When you go back to Bowling Ball Express to mail your balls back home, they will be delivered directly to the address you place on the return label. In my case its directly to my home address. It has never failed. Bowling Ball Express is a great way to get balls out there without having to leave the Stadium. Mail them to the stadium, pick them up drop them in a locker or head through the check point to bowl. When you are done bowling the Minors, head right back downstairs and mail them right back out. You never have to carry them out of the building if you do not bowl the BTM or Forty Framer.
