RENO: Anyone bowl on 71-72?
« on: June 22, 2004, 11:33:58 AM »
Did anyone bowl on 71-72, or 31-32 and 29-30.  These are the pairs I will be on this weekend and was wondering if anyone had any good/bad experiences on them.  I've heard the high end of the stadium is nasty, so I am preparing for a grind in team.

I didn't roll the event on those lanes, but I practiced on each of those pairs. I threw 27 in a row on 71-72, playing just left of seventh arrow with my XXXL. That ball was really banking. I shot 899 for three on 31-32 playing a backup ball between second and third. I was using the sarge-easter grip while using my ultimate inferno (although it's not drilled Sarge Easter) go figure. I left a ringing 3 pin that cost me the 900. The last pair, 29-30 were the best however, I threw 36 strikes in a row tossing my Anomaly over the gutter cap and landing it on the 1 board. This shot was great. The ball would bounce around the arrows, begin to start hooking then just stop when I gave it a dirty look and smash the hole. With a shooter like you bowling, I expect 2700 scratch, no questions asked. Just remember who told you where to play.   : )

Bowling is without a doubt the dumbest, most pointless, most idiotic excuse for a game that has ever been invented. So, what time are we bowling tomorrow?

Gene,
I'm heading to Reno this weekend and wasn't sure
which line to play, thank god I read this post. I
praticed last night on my between the legs with a
house ball shot and the ball was hitting so hard I
was striking 3 and 4 lanes down. I am a shoe-in
for all events!

Brockette,
I'll be there, bowling at the same time as O (he already knows I'll be there).  I'll be in the same part of the house, but I believe I'm on 75-76 for team and maybe 35-36 for doubles.  If that's the case, I suppose I'd be on 33-34 for singles.

I won't be rolling in until Saturday morning, but I'm staying until Wednesday.  Depending on what our group is doing after we bowl Sunday, maybe I can come and watch you throw a few shots.  I'm not sure what I'll be doing Monday, but I want to do the CATS analysis sometime, and I may not have time until Monday.  If I do that, I might be able to say hello then.

Good luck!

Rick,

That sounds great. I have been trying to get in touch
with some of my team to find out where we bowl, hopefully
I will have that info before I leave.
