Equipment for Reno Shot!
« on: April 08, 2004, 01:03:37 AM »
With all the reports everyone has posted from their
experience this year at the Stadium, would a Particle
Pearl ball be the favorite to use. I know Bob
Hanson hasn't had a chance to post because he is
bowling the Senior Masters in Vegas.

I was thinking of the X-Factor Relaoded or
Hammer Big Blue Pearl. It seems from all
the booths in the shops they recommend using a
mid lane drill which consist with the Pin under the
Ring Finger with the CG kicked out a X-Hole down kinda
like a modified rev leverage.

I would question the Frenzy. My doubles partner was using that and it would either slide to far past the break point or set up early. I know everyone is different and everyball is drilled different so yours may work. Everyone that I saw when I was there had the same problems. Everything would slide to far past the break point or set up to early. I had good luck with my Buzzsaw C Carbide Pearl. When that got to be to much I jumped to my Scream R. I think your Hammer should do you well there.

From watching again about a week ago, it seems everyone throwing
polished balls for team struggled unless you were a cranker. I
would really go with Dull Particle Equipment for team and adjust
from there. Pearls were way too skid flippy. The funny thing is, NO one
seemed to want to play stright and direct. Everyone has the idea they wanted to hook it. Straight and hard seemed more consistent.

The balls i think of bringing are:

Ultimate Inferno - 4 x 4
Vortex Particle - 4 x 2
Vortex Original Sanded - Rev Leverage with pin under the ring
Triple X Factor - Pin up with the MB in the Strong position
Vortex Pearl - 4 x 4
Maxim

Maybe i'll drill something else later.
