Title: El Paso - where to stay?!?
Post by: Jorge300 on October 22, 2014, 05:46:03 PM
Has anyone looked at where the convention center is and where you will be staying in relation to it?!?

I googled the center and asked it to give me nearby hotels, and the whole first page almost where all in Mexico as the center is basically right at the border....don't think I want to be staying there. The other group of hotels were around the airport, which is about 10-15 miles away from the center (if I remember correctly). So I wanted to see where any of you were thinking of staying? Thanks.

I'm more worried about getting there than I am where to stay.

I will stay at the IHG Hotel on Fort Bliss if they have vacancy when I'm there. Otherwise, I will probably stay in Las Cruces which is about 20 miles west of El Paso.

I usually stay at the Marriott Residence Inn while there.

I am staying at the Camino Real.  Its located across the street from the convention center and offers a shuttle to/from the airport.  Its a little pricey per night, but with no rental car or taxi costs it balances out in the end.
