Title: Environment
Post by: Pinbuster on March 19, 2012, 10:25:05 PM
For the ones who have already gone to Baton Rouge.

I talked to several bowlers who went last week. They all said the convention center was very cold. All the people in the stands were wearing coats and even some of the bowlers went to wearing light jackets.

Did anyone else experience this?

Also there were some complaints about the approaches being sticky. I'm not surprised with the humidity I would expect there and that maybe why the AC was cranked up.

we're here now - it's cold in there. I live in central Florida so I am used to the all-day, everyday, cold indoors but guys from the north i am with aren't used to it and say it's cold.

wear layers!! (it's wonderful outside)

Just bowl!

I was comfortable bowling, during one of the later squads I did see a few people wearing jackets in between shots though.  Where ever the bowling is held is usually cold if you're sitting around watching.

I didn't have a problem with the approaches, but my dad did.  I did have a problem with my thumb though, I think I had to take out 3 pieces of white and 1 black before we even started.

oh, yeah, everyone on our pair (25-26) thought the approaches were very sticky. These are near the center aisle / runway area. I dont really slide so did not have a problem.

Just bowl!
