Title: Hotel Player Card Promotions
Post by: 700Virgin on May 08, 2010, 06:15:10 AM
While there take the time to get your players' club cards, especially at the Eldorado where you can actually win Storm products, like me!  Granted, most are getting the crappy discounted hotel rates, which makes no sense (you are already there - are you really gonna change rooms in the middle of your stay or go back before July 10, 2010?)  But you never know...on my first swipe at the special 'bowler's only' machine at the Eldorado I won a Team Storm plastic ball, the going rate for which at the stadium is $120.  You never know I guess...

They do, but the machine you swipe your card in gives out a bunch of junk.  You may occassionally get one that gives you a free ace in the hole on a game of blackjack.  The coupons you get for the casinos this year are really good.  Free breakfast or lunch buffet at the Eldorado. $10 off a meal at any Silver Legacy restaurant, free beer (Bud or Bud Light) at some, etc.  You get one pack when your team is registered and they give you more when you go for team.  Make sure to check the Silver Legacy website as the room rate dropped $10/night vs what I got through USBC site.  Only problem is you have to re-book and then cancel your old reservation.  I called the hotel to just change to the lower rate and they said they couldn't do it over the phone.  Seems like a crock to me, but I jumped through the hoops for the lower rate.  Enjoy your time.

Players cards for the larger casino chains are well worth the while to get...and in the current climate, it does not take much table or slot play to get some offers.

Once I ran a few 20's through the machines in a Harrah's property, they started sending me all sorts of offers.  Since I go to NOLA on a regular basis, I am actually thinking about using both of the 3-free-night offers this month.

Oh yeah, and I have standing offers for Bellagio and the Venetian for between two and four free nights if I really wanted to go back to Vegas.

The cards might not do much for you while you are in Reno, but if you travel and gamble (or play cards), they would be worth your while...
